Leaving a Trail of Evidence

Relics of Our Existence What are some examples of the “evidence” of our lives for just one day. Make a list of the kinds of evidence you may have left behind.

Leaving a Trail of Evidence What could someone tell about your day from the evidence you left? What can’t someone else know from the evidence you left behind? How could the evidence you leave behind be like the fossil record?

Leaving a Trail of Evidence What is an artifact? What clues could fossil evidence give that artifacts might not give? How do we use inference to make sense out of the evidence? What are the limitations of inference? What would strengthen an inference? http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/educators/teachstuds/unit3.html
