On This Day Fairtrade Fortnight Levi Strauss Grand National 26th February – 11th March Fairtrade Fortnight is an event that happens once every year, organized and funded by Fairtrade Foundation to raise awareness of Fairtrade products. Levi Strauss Levi Strauss was born on 26th February 1829. Strauss was a German-American businessman who founded the first company to manufacture blue jeans. Grand National The first Grand National race took place on 26th February 1839, won by Lottery.
