Promoting Rational Drug Use in the Community Managerial and Regulatory Strategies

Session objectives Identify possible managerial and regulatory challenges and possible solutions around delivery of antiretroviral therapy Identify lessons that could be of use in designing other chronic disease drug treatment programmes Explore the possible communication needs related to managerial and regulatory strategies Managerial and Regulatory Strategies Promoting rational drug use in the community

Linking strategies Rational drug use demands integration of educational, managerial and regulatory strategies Community level approaches also include strategies to create enabling environments and encourage empowerment With the introduction of ARV treatments we face new challenges and need to explore new strategies Managerial and Regulatory Strategies Promoting rational drug use in the community
