PROJECT PROFILE Project number & title : Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) Readiness Project in Person Certification Committee / WG / Fora: CTI/ Sub-Committee on Standards and Conformance Project Overseer Name / Organization / Economy: Ms. Konny Sagala and Mr. Donny Purnomo / The National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN) / Indonesia

The project includes two planned training workshops: A three-day: Training/Workshop for personnel certification body management staff or auditors providing the opportunity for practice case study as well as training courses in ISO/IEC 17024:2012. A three-day: Training/Workshop for accreditation body assessors providing the opportunity to increase competencies when conduct assessment to personnel certification body based on new standard, ISO/IEC 17024:2012

The first of the two workshop, has been conducted successfully in Hotel Santika, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, Indonesia dated 14 – 16 April 2014. The trainer is: Mr. Geoff Brundle from JAS-ANS, Australia Training materials : Introduction and explanation of ISO/IEC 17024:2012, and how to develop personnel certification scheme with case study Participants : Personnell certification body management staff or auditors

PROJECT EVALUATION FOR THE FIRST WORKSHOP Most of participants expressed their satisfaction with the training. Participants give overall rating in average 4.1 of maximum 5. The lowest overall rating given was 3, while the highest was 5. However some participants also have suggestions or comments to improve the training such as: * The time for group discussion is not enough * Need more examples and exercises * The agenda and material could be distributed before the training

The second workshop : conducted in Bali, Indonesia dated 17 – 19 June 2014. The trainers are: 1. Mr. Geoff Brundle from JAS-ANS, Australia 2. Mr. Vijay from ANSI, United State of America. Training materials : Introduction and explanation of ISO/IEC 17024:2012, and how to conduct assessment for personnel certification body Participants : Accreditation body management staff or assessors
