Topography of Tokyo Tokyo is located in the center of the Japanese islands in the Kanto Region on the northwest of the Tokyo Bay. Tokyo is split up into 23 wards, 26 cities, 3 towns, and 1 village. Tokyo is hilly, with many small earthquake shocks throughout the year.

Climate and Population Humid Subtropical hot, humid summer cool, mild winters Average annual rainfall: 60.2 in As of May 1, 2014, 13.35 Million people live in Tokyo

Native Plant and Animal Matsu tree-- type of Japanese pine Kuro, Aka, Goyou Serve as a windbreak in coastal regions Grows in wide range of temperatures Tanuki-- Japanese raccoon- dog able to live in wide range of habitats Japanese islands vary in temperature and plants

Energy, Food, Water Every roof contains solar panels, other energy is produced by hydropower since Japan is an island Food will be obtained primarily by fishing in the nearby Pacific Ocean, growing food locally and buying food from nearby countries. Food grown in indoor warehouses on shelves New and improved filter machines will clean out ocean water to be able to use within the city.

Waste Management Within Tokyo, we eventually transform all of our waste into some sort of recyclable material. Example being plastic bags being completely eliminated and replaced with paper bags. Doing this allows us to recycle all of our waste.

Transportation We will install a mass transit bus system throughout the city, and high speed trains throughout the suburbs. Reducing the use of cars in the city will help reduce air pollution Installing these bus and train systems will also ensure punctual travel some negatives to these systems of travel will be possible lack of comfort and cost

Living and Working in New Tokyo Many apartments will be available within the city. Jobs will range from working on the solar panels, the hydropower systems, the filtration systems, and waste recycling centers.

Areas for Wildlife 2 parks that are 5 square miles each no hunting allowed in city Roof gardens for plant life also provide some food for people in city
