Classroom Routines Flexed Seating Agenda Gym Days: Day 2 and 5 Homework: Raz-Kids & IXL every night! Review and finish classwork T.U.S.C. on every other Friday Healthy Eating Bring a water bottle

Student Expectations Bring Gym clothes to school every Monday, and take them home every Friday Non-marking indoor shoes 2 Healthy Lunches and/or Snacks Re-useable water bottle Raz-Kids and IXL Homework returned and completed Agenda signed nightly by parent Visit class Blog regularly

Parent Expectations Sign the agenda every night and talk about what is happening in class Ensure homework is completed Have your child help to pack their healthy lunches, or cook together! Have a set time and place for homework Avoid extended absences Have routines at home (bedtime) Visit our class website occasionally

Academics: how you can help! Comprehension: Ensure your child is reading every night, and ask them questions to ensure they are understanding what they are reading Math Facts: by now, they are expected to have memorized their multiplication tables. This is essential for when we begin division. Journaling: we write every single day at school. They need to continue the habit on the weekend and during holidays. Reading: kids learn from modeling. Let them see you reading, and make time to read together.

Learning Skills Aside from academics, your child is also being evaluated in the following areas: Responsibility Organization Initiative Independent Work Self-Regulation Collaboration
