Grimm Brothers Fairytales Senior English 2017-2018 Grimm Brothers Fairytales

Why are we reading fairytales? Remember, we’re using fairytales as a transition into reading Shakespeare Both fairytales and Shakespeare’s plays include common elements, like symbols, imagery, figurative language, and themes Let’s review those elements of literature with something short and somewhat familiar before we read something longer and more complicated! You’ll show me you understand these elements by writing your own short story or fairytale!! (due Fri. 10/27)

Cinderella Read as a whole class! Keep track of SIFT in this story (write in the margins) Write yourself notes for what you’d like to include when you write your own short story or fairytale!
