Expand the number of signatories – commitment to best practice Facilitate sharing – ideas, challenges Celebrate - best practice examples Collaborate – disability sector, industry, initiatives with same end goal Educate – website, resources, multi-disciplinary teams Support and guide ‘business as usual practices’ to occur Report and evaluate Spread across New Zealand Lorraine This is one way of achieving a livable, usable and future proofed building stock Its not the only way – it was based on something that had been established in Canterbury, unique situation Facilitation – now key to growth Education – Accountability – Reporting Aiming for this to become BAU practice, just as accessibility from a universal design perspective Continue to lobby for legislative upgrade our standard is 20 years old, building code review – achieved MBIE guidance WHERE TO NEXT?
