AGENDA Welcome and introduction DurhamWorks update – Helen Radcliffe Completions and Progressions – Mel Horner Marketing and events update – David Hudson/RAW Digital Prevent – Graham McArdle

YEI extension update (1) 16/12/17 – DWP Action Note 008/17 – “YEI funding can continue to be spent by 2023 as long as the ESF 2014-20 programme fulfils its targets. In early 2018, ESF Contract Managers will be in contact about the potential scope for projects to extend current Agreements beyond summer 2018.” PCR (due to be submitted in January) put on hold as a result of the above. 11/01/18 - Submission of informal Expression of Interest to DWP following phone call on 10/01/18 with DWP Contract Manager. 16/02/18 - DWP Action Note 0011/18 - “YEI funding can continue to be spent beyond 2018 but by 2023.”

YEI extension update (2) 07/03/18 – formal application submitted to DWP to extend DurhamWorks to December 2020 with £9m additional funding and £3m match = £12m in total. 21/03/18 – DWP Action Note 0014/18 – “The Managing Authority will urgently clarify with our European Commission Desk Officer the latest position regarding YEI in the current programme” 29/03/18 – DWP Action Note 015/18 – “Discussions have confirmed that YEI contracts beyond 2018 are permissible within the limits of the YEI-specific pre-financing allocation, approximately €63m. The MA is working through extension requests to establish the extent to which requests can be met within that funding allocation. We continue to negotiate with the European Commission with the aim of seeking to establish a process through which any extension requests which cannot be met within the pre-financing limit can be funded. We expect a response from the Commission w/c 9 April.”
