Welcome Week allowed to engage with new students coming to Abertay Welcome Week allowed to engage with new students coming to Abertay. We made a particular effort to visit Abertay’s student accommodation too at Allloway Halls and Parker Street.

Freshers and in particular the Society Fayre gives a great opportunity for societies to both recruit new students and showcase the work they do.

Abertay Goes Global put on a week of events in partnership with the International Office. Engaging particularly with students who had previously studied abroad and getting them to help inspire the next cohort of jetsetters.

SRC this year has had a healthy attendance across our meetings so far this year. We have tried to engage students through short survey questions and guest speakers. Class reps are now HEAR accredited Class rep wins – accommodation charges Race equality charter Constitutional change/ working groups

NUS Scotland Zone Conference highlighted work on a national level and specifically around the provision of funding and student support. The Stop Student Poverty Campaign continues to collect data on the current state of student support.
