Bullet Point Alternatives Luckily, there are many alternatives to the Bullet List.
This is how we present information: In a hierarchical, up and down list. Forces our audience to evaluate information from the top down. Bullet points are habit and are not always appropriate. You are not limited to present information this way. So, here’s a list of four points.
An Alternative Method List is displayed horizontally. Eyes can move back and forth between points. The style is akin to website chunking. You are not limited to this style either. This is also a list of four points. Spacing the text horizontally places equal importance visually on each point, allowing the eye to move back and forth between points more easily. This way, we now add some visual element or icons / to represent the text below. On the slide, now we have both written and visual communication working together. Pair this slide with an audio narration and we have three forms of communication working together: verbal, written, and visual. In other words…
Three Forms of Communication VERBAL WRITTEN VISUAL we have three forms of communication working together: verbal, written, and visual.
