Laptop Deployment Dates 9th graders: Wednesday, August 15-Orientation Day 10-12th graders: Monday, August 20th and Tuesday, August 21st

School Preparation for 1:1 Deployment Added wireless access points to all classrooms Reinforced internet hardware Adopted laptop management software to distribute apps to student laptops Added additional tech teacher × Additional staff development

Cost, Use, & Maintenance Fee (Insurance) Each student will be required to purchase a protective cover from Gretna High at the cost of $30.00. The hard plastic cover will be free the first year with the purchase of insurance. Students have the option to participate in the laptop accidental damage cooperative insurance fund, AGI Protect. This insurance fee is a non-refundable fee of $40 per school year. The agreement covers all accidental damage. The accidental damage cooperative insurance fund does not cover lost or stolen laptops. Each student is responsible for full replacement cost if lost or stolen, as determined by the administration. If the laptop is deemed unrepairable by AGI, the student will be responsible for the replacement cost, as determined by administration. Students who choose not to purchase accidental damage insurance from the school (AGI Protect) will not be allowed to take the laptop off campus.
