Electric Fencing 2016 New Mechanical and Electrical concept February 2016. 14-12-2015 Mathijs de Jong

Content Why a new concept? Changes in installing of the profiles and wires: Modulus Sleeves; Twisted aluminum wire; Corner/end/and other profiles (preassembled delivered instead of self assembling); Ready-made configuration wires instead of self cutting and stripping. Changes in the configuration: No configuration clamps needed; 17 wires instead of 16, etc.; Grounding.

Why a new concept Advantages of the new mechanical concept: Continues developing by supplier (Nemtek) which makes Heras market leader on technological level; Possible simultaneous introduction of the latest generation energizer, Druid 25; Better harmonization between between the electronic and mechanical concept of ElectricFence detection; Possibility for Heras to use the knowhow and expertise of Topguard on these products;

Changes in installing on the fence line The most important changes are: Modulus Sleeves: Mechanical stronger; Freely configurable; Delivered completely assembled including mounting brackets (2x); Increased sabotage protection. Twisted aluminum wire: Cheaper then current version; Fits on the entire system, incl. tensioners; Simple to use; High corrosion resistance; No bad influence on the connections due to corrosion.

Changes in installing on the fence line Corner/end/other profiles (ready- made instead of self assembling): Time saving because sleeves are ready to use; 6 different corner/end/other profiles: Begin post (tensioners) End post (without tensioners) 50m, 150m, ….tension post Inside corner Outside corner 100m, 200m, …. tension post

Changes in installing on the fence line

Changes in installing on the fence line Note: wrong picture, just one post is installed on a outside corner

Changes to the configuration No configuration clamps needed: Quick installing; 3 different lenghts of pre stripped wires; Connection with low resistance due to oxidation; Because the use of the same materials, there is no galvanic corrosion.

Changes to the configuration 17 wire system (266 cm high) 8x High voltage loop; 8x ground loop (or also high voltage); “Super”ground / ground.

Changes to the configuration Grounding: Every 50 meters; 3 earth stakes; Grounding the fence line; Galvanic corrosion.
