Men's world i.e. Life-world is not only a physical environment ; rather, it is a symbolically endowed world of meanings ; a world that men not only encounters but a world he seeks to understand

The very essence of phenomenological study Construction of social reality Men not only encounters social reality, he interprets he not only response he discovers and create as well.

What does phenomenology deals all about ?

Phenomenology is an experience based study, which deals with : “why and individual behaves in a certain way” and, how men construct the reality of their own. Influenced from symbolic interactionist perspective, the phenomenologist believe, that, experience influences mind and mind direct behaviour. Every men in this world has his own experience of reality.

Phenomenology as a philosophical approach and a sociological methodology As an approach in philosophy, the concept of phenomenology was introduce by Hegel in, Phenomenology of Mind. Adopted by Edmund Husserl in, Ideas : Introduction to Pure Phenomenology 1913. As a sociological methodology the concept was first introduced by Alfred Schutz in his book, The Phenomenology of the Social World 1932.
