4th Grade February Newsletter Class Dojo with myON and IXL To keep students accountable for myON and IXL homework, all fourth grade teachers will be deducting two dojo points for each hour not completed. This could result in a possible deduction of the overall points. Six Flags Read to Succeed Students will once again have an opportunity to earn a free ticket to Six Flags. Students will earn a free ticket by completing 6 hours of recreational reading. They may read anything- books, magazines, newspapers, etc. - not associated with schoolwork, no textbooks for example. The Six Flags Read to Succeed forms are due no later than Friday, February 17th. Sweetheart Dance The 2nd Annual Nickajack Sweetheart Dance coming up Friday February 10th at 7pm! The attire for this event is as dressy or casual as you choose. The cost is $6 per person, or $15 max per family (should you have more than one girl at Nickajack). You can buy in advance online or pay at the door. Field Day Shirts Field Day is quickly approaching! This year there are two ways to order a Field Day shirt. You can send in the order form that has come home in your child’s folder with cash or check, or you can pay online. The cash/check deadline is February 14th but the online order portal will stay open until the end of March.  Please stop by the office to sign up for ParentVue to receive your student’s grades. https://parentvue. cobbk12.org/ March Madness In March, fourth grade will be hitting the books hard to begin reviewing for the Milestones in April. We will be adding extra focus to Math and Language Arts along with test taking strategies to best prepare all students.
