Benefits Of Competency Based Training

In which area do we need personnel ? What are the job requirements ? IFATSEA In which area do we need personnel ? What are the job requirements ? How many persons do we need ? What are the working conditions in which people will work ? To whom is the training targeted ? This are the topics an ANSP has to think about before hiring a trainee. Who does an ANSP need, that means what entry qualification does the future trainee need? How many and for which area should trainees be trained? Do an ANSP has the right training plans for his needs or does he have to develop new training plans?

Traditional training for ANSP´s IFATSEA Traditional training for ANSP´s Many job applicants with wide ranging professional qualifications Training on many single systems Many subjects of study per student Training that is not required Assessment on each individual system Selection process after first step of training. Who is able to do what ? In traditional training we have a broad requirement for the entry qualification because an ANSP does not know which area the trainees will fit after the training assessment. The usage, handling, managing, maintenance and repair for many systems have to be trained. There is a training section with a test for each single system. Not till then can a decision be made about who is doing what

Traditional training for trainees Wide area of learning matter IFATSEA Traditional training for trainees Wide area of learning matter Time intensive A lot of knowledge not required later Trainees don´t know in which branch they will work Trainees often have to learn stuff never needed later on because of different areas of duty they will be working in. Trainees often don´t know in which section they will work in. This decision will be made after their assessment. Time is often wasted on learning that is not needed later.

IFATSEA Benefits for ANSP´s

Optimized to the customers needs IFATSEA A change in customers needs may result in a change of needed competencies. These could be solved with a change in the training plan for new trainees or an additional training plan for existing employees. The training is tailored to the systems requirements and optimizes the performance of the systems used for the customers needs. Optimized to the customers needs

Selection of trainees before employment IFATSEA Selection of trainees before employment The selection of job aspirants can be done before the competency based training due to the fact that the ANSP´s already knows which competencies are needed. Competencies can be assessed at the job interview.
