It retains a lot of water …Topsoil So think of it like a big kitchen sponge

Sandy soil drains very well So its water capacity is a bit low

The sandy grains Don’t stick together too well

And contain little organic material

Clay soils are very sticky

And the texture of clay is very fine

Mix wet clay and straw To make adobe
