Mhs campus Can be a confusing place for first semester freshmen
Freshmen students: important to get a good start the very first semester!! A student can fall behind graduation schedule the very first semester of their 9th grade year
Freshmen parents: Subscribe Read Check Stay in Do not wait Do not wait until late in semester to contact school or teacher when student is failing (often times, it is too late to help the student) Stay in Stay in frequent contact with your student’s teachers (email is very convenient) Check Check your student’s home access center account at least weekly (grades, attendance) Read Read the mhs webpage daily (page is updated daily with school information) Subscribe Subscribe to the mhs text message system (stay informed of daily events)

Eight Period School Day Possible for Students to Take 32 Classes in Four Years (23 Required for Graduation)
Graduation Requirements Mansfield High School Requires 23 Credits for Graduation Requisite Required Courses 1.65 minimum grade point average Freshmen begin earning credits for graduation their first semester. VERY important that they do not fail courses their first semester; students can put themselves in a disadvantaged position with respect to graduation credits their very first semester of high school! Schedules Class schedules for 2018-19 will be available in August at the Freshmen parents meeting Fall classes begin Monday, August 13. Fall deadline to drop / add a course is Wednesday, August 15. Seniors, juniors, sophomores, in order, have priority over schedule change requests.
Debt list School debt list follows students from kindergarten through 12th grade (textbooks, fines, lunch accounts, fundraisers, etc) All mhs students have to clear debt list to participate in graduation If your student is on the middle school debt list, it is advisable to clear that list before they move to high school next fall (if not, they will have to do so next year at mhs)
