SCC Supplier Performance Management (SPM) Training April 2017

Basics and General Navigation Module 2

Accessing Ariba Training (Test) Environment will be used for this class. In Test and in Production you will use Single Sign on (SSO) Technology If you are connected to the Intranet, you can enter the production URL into the browser address window and you will automatically be taken to SCC’s Ariba Home page. If you are logging in remotely, you will be prompted to enter your network credentials for verification.

Navigating the Ariba Dashboard Search for SPM Projects Use the search window to search for SPM project(s). Common Actions Initiate a new requisition or invoices with one click. Recently Viewed Access requisitions, POs or invoices you viewed recently.

Navigating the Ariba Dashboard (continued) To Do See your incomplete tasks arranged by due date. My Documents Access your SPM Projects. Event Status Shows Sourcing, Contracts, and SPM.

Navigating the Ariba Dashboard (continued) Suppliers Tab Click on the Suppliers tab Action Tiles Each Action Tile is slightly customizable. E.g. Change the number of days. My Documents Access your SPM Projects. SPM Reports A list of Prepackaged reports relating to SPM

Customizing the Dashboard To add portlets to the wrench icon, and then click Add Content. Drag and drop a portlet to a new spot on the dashboard. The dotted line shows where the portlet will appear.

Setting User Preferences Click on your name to access your Preferences To delegate authority to another user, select Delegate authority. To edit your personal information, click Change your profile. To select which emails to receive from Ariba, click Change email notification preferences.

Changing Email Notification Preferences For each Notification click the check box to turn on email notification and uncheck the box to stop receiving the email notification Click OK to save your changes.

Accessing the Help Documentation in Ariba In the upper right hand corner of the screen click Help Center In the search window, search for the topic. You have the option to filter the results in many different ways

System Demonstration In this demonstration, you will see how to Log in to the test environment An overview of the dashboard Customize the dashboard Access the Suppliers tab Add Content to the Suppliers tab Customize the Dashboard Access your user preferences Set email notification preferences Access the Help files

Lab Activity Objectives: Access the test environment Customize the dashboard Reset the dashboard to the default setting Length: 10 minutes Refer to the Student Activity Guide for instructions [Read the slide to introduce the exercise. Show the participants which page to go to in the Student Activity Guide. Help students if they have questions during the activity.]
