Presentation transcript:

Alternate Book Ending Write a new ending for Stuck In Neutral. Your new ending should tie in nicely with what was already happening with the book. Make sure you are writing from Shawn’s point of view. Do not add in things that don’t line up with the story. Your ending should be about 100 words long. Write your word count at the bottom of your paper.

Oral Presentation Rubric   1 Not Yet Meeting 2 Beginning to Meet 3 Meeting 4 Excelling Eye Contact No eye contact with audience; face hidden by paper Occasional attempts to make eye contact OR makes regular contact with only one person; looks up at audience but no eye contact (ie: staring at the wall) Making eye contact approximately half of the time, with only a few different audience members. Only glances down at paper, not the audience. Consistent eye contact with various audience members, script free. Voice Mumbling, very quiet, poor pronunciation, monotone, too fast. Somewhat louder, occasionally hard to hear. Pace is a bit better. Easy to hear and can be understood most of the time because of good pronunciation, enunciation, speed, and volume. Voice is exciting and not monotone. Voice is loud and clear. Proper pronunciation, enunciation and varied voice inflection enhance the effectiveness of the presentation. Body Language Posture is poor - leaning on wall/board, slouching, not facing audience, fidgety. Occasionally stands up straight. Intermittent fidgeting. Mostly faces audience. Occasional lapses in posture. Very few fidgety moments. Good posture and no fidgeting. Faces audience and may move around room.
