Presentation transcript:

Why does Unionen organize managers? Unionen’s strategy is summarized in the words ”one workplace –one union” When having the trust of managers you can make your position stronger in the short and long run. If you are a member you don´t se the union as an enemy. Our members often move on from specialists to managers. We would lose them otherwise. There are 300.000 management employees in the Swedish private sector. Managers have broader responsibilities than specialists and they feel more insecure from a labour law point of view.

How did we become 100.000? You have to be decided! Thanks to the strong tradition of unions in Sweden Transfer of members who achieved management positions Making it a brand of it´s own. Same but different Knowledge about the group you want to attract! Make them feel safe with you. Show them you know the managers point of view and challenges We are on your side – making you stronger both as a manager and an employee! You have to be decided!

So – you started a new ”brand”- what resistance did you meet? Internal? External? Matters of trust?
