Class Procedures Make sure you have all necessary materials for the class. You will be greeted at the door. Go directly to your assigned seat Complete any assigned employment duties Check the homework board Read the daily teaching point Answer focus question or Do Now Get ready to learn!

During Instruction Listen to the teacher/speaker with full attention. No pencil sharpening, talking, moving about the classroom, or whispering. Ask permission to speak by raising your hand and waiting quietly to be called on. After instruction, make sure you understand the concept. If not, ask questions by mentioning which part you did not understand.

What do I do next? Check your work and the directions one more time to see if you missed anything or did something incorrectly. If the assignment is to be turned in, do so. If appropriate, read quietly in your seat.

When You are Tardy Enter quietly. Place the excuse on your desk. Have a seat, follow class routine (i.e. take out your materials, join the class)

Dismissal Leave using inside voices, ONLY after you have been given permission to do so. You are dismissed by the teacher, not the bell. Make sure that you have ALL of YOUR belongings!! Clean your work area and take all garbage to the trash can as you exit the room.

After an absence Check the class website / check your folder If you have questions about assignments, check with the teacher at an appropriate time. If you missed a test because of an excused absence, inform the teacher. (Student will need documentation for absence) You will have one day to make-up work for every day you are absent.

Class Economy System Our class will be run using a token economy system. This means that you will earn credit (money- dollars) and have debits ( withdrawals) throughout the year. This will be explained in more detail in your Class Economy Handbook. Your earnings will used on our “Class Auction” days.
