WHO WE ARE! We support 20 individuals in various settings in and around Leighton Buzzard. We are looking for creative, fun loving, dynamic and enthusiastic support workers wo are passionate about supporting individuals to achieve their goals. We love to go out and about, accessing community facilities, local events, theatre, cinema promoting social inclusion at every opportunity We like to have support 1:1 so we can do the things we like, such as going to cinema, shopping, arts & crafts, eating out, having a coffee and a chat, discos and seeing shows! We also like to do group activities, coach trips to the seaside, Star Wars day, Hanbury picnic, meals out, museums, examples include Harry Potter world, lunch and trip on a narrowboat, tour of mini factory at Cowley. We have regular parties and discos using the local church hall! Family and friends are very important to us, and we like to be supported to keep in touch. One or two of us like to meet up with each other to play on our games consoles or to have a coffee in town and like staff to support us to do this.   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Someone who is dynamic and can use their initiative and support us in all aspects of our lives. A Support Worker who is enthusiastic, caring, reliable and supportive, who can work alone or in a team of likeminded people. Someone who we can trust to help us in the house and in the community so we don’t miss out. We would like someone who encourages us with healthy eating and lifestyle options. Someone who is flexible and is able to support us early in the morning and support us to disco in the evening. Good organisational and computer skills as it is a busy service with a lot going on! Someone who is not afraid to go the extra mile and try something different!
