Concept Points Select a student to tally points on whiteboard. Class Teacher Select a student to tally points on whiteboard. Provide copy of Concepts (p. 11 of AWS binder) to each student. Project 1st word. T. identifies relevant concepts (see table on next slide). S. scorekeeper tallies 1 point for each concept. Project next word. S. take turns to name same or different concepts for new word. S. may “phone a friend” to confirm their answers. T. may prompt as needed. Subsequent concepts must be named in 15 seconds or turn is forfeited. When all relevant concepts are identified, most points wins. Repeat as time allows.
