Earth’s Atmosphere The Earth is surrounded by a blanket of air called the atmosphere. It extends over 372 miles (560 kilometers) from the surface of Earth.
What Causes Weather?. We should have discovered that land and water do not heat up at the same rate. If things went correctly, we should know that land.

 Gasses make up the air around us  Primary gasses are Nitrogen and Oxygen  Small amounts of many other gasses are present.
 Earth’s atmosphere is divided into several different atmospheric layers extending from the Earth’s surface outward: › Troposphere › Stratosphere › Mesosphere.

The Layer of Atmosphere Paul Kim Gr 8 Nelson Mandela

What is the atmosphere? -Atmosphere is a layer of gases surrounding a planet -Atmosphere is very important to living things latterdaylearning.org/atmosphere-space/

Structure of Earth’s atmosphere The atmosphere has 4 layers: the troposphere that we live in near the surface of the earth; and the stratosphere that houses the ozone layer; and the mesosphere, a colder and lower density layer with about 0.1% of the atmosphere; and the thermosphere, the top layer, where the air is hot but very thin. Why we have know about this? The structure of the atmosphere dictates the way the atmosphere behaves and controls how weather develops near the surface of the earth.
