TWO Set-ups Using a Sites Internet Service with a Wired Router The router does not need to be in the same room as your computers if you only use wireless computers A good location may be together with the host modem and router(s). This will permit the use of your own secure wireless network, without the restrictions of an unsecured wireless network

TWO Set-ups Using a Sites Wireless Internet Service with a Router A wireless laptop makes a good ‘Bridge’ to connect to your router This setup permits the use of both wired and wireless TWO workstations and printers. The ‘Bridge’ laptop can be use for tax return preperation, but must be turned on before any of the other computers. It’s like a Desktop server.

TWO Set-ups Using a Sites Wireless Internet Service without a Router Requires all Wireless computers Some restrictions apply if the wireless network in not encrypted Restrictions primarily involve printing options. Must use network printer - OR- If printer is connected to a computer, it can not be shared with other computers
TWO Wireless Computers Must be IRS Depot Laptops or AARP provided computers – OR – If Site Provided, Donated or Personally Owned computers they must pass security scanning and be registered for use as TWO workstations Two Scans are required
