Background NUM representatives were invited to participate in the MOSH Initiative at Joel NUM attended the monthly meetings Paticipated in the decisions around the roll-out of TARP(TSM) on the shaft Any new technology/practice involving NUM members should have the input from the union Therefore NUM was happy to participate
97% of workers at Joel are members of NUM NUM Leadership at Joel was critical to ensuring that the practice was adopted

Future The TARP(TSM) system may be useful for other safety initiatives This may help industry and Joel reach the 2013 milestones and zero harm which NUM wants E-learning has developed the members of our crews to be more knowledgeable on rock issues
