TJX INHOUSE DROPTEST ISTA 1A Modified

Which items need to conduct in-house drop-test ? Mirror. Picture frame. Lacquer wares. Glassware Furniture Note: For Tkmaxx, Drop-test is not apply. If incase tag on order, Will follow main branch standard.

Drop-test requirement Both inner and master carton must conduct Drop-test ISTA 1AM (TJX).

Drop-test ISTA 1AM (TJX) Standard The drop test consists of a ‘10 free fall drop sequence test’ from heights that vary with weight as follows: Weight equal or greater than (Kg) But Less Than (Kg) Drop Height (cm) Free fall 28 46 45 31 --- 20

TJX require that the same drop test be done on all Store Ready inner cartons. TJX feel this is important because the Store Ready inners get unpacked from their master cartons in TJX DC's and then travel by truck to stores. If TJX experience damages as a result of these changes TJX will revert to the 30" drop test requirement on lighter product for any vendors that we receive damaged product from.

Critical Conner

The test must be performed in following order: a The test must be performed in following order: a. Most fragile corner, if not known, at the carton manufacturer's joint b. Shortest edge radiating from that corner c. Medium edge radiating from that corner d. Longest edge radiating from that corner e. Flat on one of the smallest faces f. Flat on the opposite small face g. Flat on one of the medium faces h. Flat on the opposite medium face i. Flat on one of the largest faces j. Flat on the opposite largest face a. b. c. d. e. f. g. h. i. j.

Drop When performing in-house drop test, be sure the total weight of product is concentrated on to the drop Conner/edge/face. Self balancing before leaving up.
