AP Language Overview

The Test Although we are ultimately getting ready for college, we do have to get ready for the AP Exam, too. Multiple Choice: There will be approximately 55 questions over 5-6 passages. You will have one hour. Free Response Questions (Essays): There will be 3 essays. You will have two hours plus a 15 minute reading period. FRQs include Synthesis, Rhetorical Analysis, and Argument.
