Restoring a Gunky Perkins Brailler To Health SESSIONS 301 & 401
Bottom Board removal
Paper Release knob?
Top Plate removal
Paper Guide removal
Back Plate removal
Carriage Lever removal
Remove left Apron screw, then loosen right screw
Lift and remove the Apron
Front Plate screws
These six nuts can fall out. Don’t lose them!
This Pawl needs to remain clean of oil or grease.
This Pawl also needs to remain clean.
This third Pawl also needs to be clean of oil or grease.
When wiping down the brailler, be careful here.
Put Clock Oil on these bearings
Put Lithium Grease on these bearings
Put Clock Oil on the Cam Rods
Oil the underside of the beam
Oil the Pivots on both sides of the Paper Guide
Oiling the chain
The Paper Drum Cam is here
This is the Cam Spring
There are 12 Linkage Pin points
Apply grease to the Grooved Rollers
When putting on the Back Plate, make sure this wire is under the edge of the plate!
