The world is changing… According to recent research… A child leaving school now is predicted to work until they are at least 75 A young adult leaving school now is expected to have an average of 20 different jobs during their working life Your child will still be working in the final part of this century (2075 onwards)

What does the future hold? For the first time in our history we simply cannot predict what jobs will exist in 30 years time In 2015 $6 billion of revenue was generated from the creation of ‘apps’ for smart phones and tables. It is predicted that this will double in the next year This industry did not exist 7 years ago

What is the difference between GCSE and GCSE Equivalent subjects? GCSEs are assessed with an examination at the end of the course GCSE Equivalent subjects like BTEC and Tech Awards are assessed through examination and on going portfolio work (2 attempts at exam)

Example 1 KS4 - Students choosing one EBacc subject and two non-EBacc subjects to start in Year 9 Non-EBacc subjects completed at the end of Year 10 A total of 10 hrs allocated to Y10 pathway subjects This Leaves 6 hrs of Guided Pathway time in Y11 to allocate This Could be 6 hr new subject or 3 hr new subject plus extra time for En/Ma or all En/Ma Discussions to start about additional time to be done at the end of term 1 P

Example 2 KS4 - Students choosing two EBacc subjects and one non-EBacc subject to start in Year 9 This pathway could allow subjects to attain full Ebacc (MFL, 1 Humanities) Non-EBacc subjects completed at the end of Year 10 This Leaves 2 hrs of Guided Pathway time in Y10 to allocate and 3 hrs in Y11 This Could be new subject or Extra time for En/Ma Time can also be given to other underperforming Ebacc Subjects (e.g. Science) P
