Circulatory System Simulation The system that Moves the matter around.

Digestive System The major function of the digestive system is to break food down into glucose and get the glucose to the bloodstream. The villi of the small intestine is where the glucose is absorbed into the bloodstream.

Respiratory System The major function of the respiratory system is to get oxygen from the air we breath into the bloodstream and to pick up the carbon dioxide from the bloodstream and expel it from our body. The alveoli of the lungs is where the oxygen is absorbed into the bloodstream and the carbon dioxide is absorbed back into the lungs.

Circulatory System The major function of the circulatory system is to get glucose and oxygen to every cell in your body and to pick up the carbon dioxide from every cell in your body and move them to the next organ/cell. In the capillaries of the circulatory system is where all of the absorption/transfer of matter takes place. The blood vessels then deliver the matter to the organs/cells of the body.

The Nutrients (Matter) Where does the glucose come from? Where does the glucose go? Where does the oxygen come from? Where does the oxygen go? Where does the carbon dioxide come from? Where does the carbon dioxide go? Glucose Oxygen (O2) Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
