A novel approach to cervical reconstruction using vaginal mucosa-lined polytetrafluoroethylene graft in congenital agenesis of the cervix  Dung H. Nguyen, M.D., Chyi-Long Lee, M.D., Kai-Yun Wu, M.D., Ming-Huei Cheng, M.D., M.H.A.  Fertility and Sterility  Volume 95, Issue 7, Pages 2433.e5-2433.e8 (June 2011) DOI: 10.1016/j.fertnstert.2011.02.007 Copyright © 2011 American Society for Reproductive Medicine Terms and Conditions

Figure 1 The mucosal graft was tubed around a 12F Foley catheter using interrupted 4-0 Dexon sutures. The graft is kept out to length with retention sutures at each end. It is then passed into the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) graft to line the luminal surface and secured to the PTFE graft with interrupted 4-0 Prolene sutures. Figure 2 The composite graft was inserted into the neocervical canal and anchored to the external opening with interrupted 4-0 Prolene sutures to prevent displacement of the graft. Figure 3 Follow-up examination at 12 days using the hysteroscope revealed a mucosalized patent neocervix. Fertility and Sterility 2011 95, 2433.e5-2433.e8DOI: (10.1016/j.fertnstert.2011.02.007) Copyright © 2011 American Society for Reproductive Medicine Terms and Conditions
