EQUATIONS RELATIONSHIPS FUNCTIONS The topic I want to discuss with you today is the goal of our lessons , the “functions in maths” : let us put the focus on “functions as equations”

It is necessary to write a table with two columns and, for exemple ten rows, to graph a funtion with a spreadsheet. A system in which ordered pairs of real numbers of the form (x,y) represent the locations of points from two perpendicular axes that intersect at origin. The first member of the ordered pair is called the x-coordinate or abscissa. The second member of the pair is called the y-coordinate or ordinate. In this case the points are lined up.

In this case we can plot the points, connect them and find the graph of a parabola which opens up, has a lower point, the vertex, has the y symmetry axis
