AP Euro Day 2

Trust Edsall I read all concerns on survey. You WILL improve at writing. I WILL Help you. Trust me, and do the work as assigned. Summer work was intended to offer a cushion for your grade. Most of you have 100% in the “hardest class on campus” Don’t drop. While it is hard, it is worth it because of how much you will learn and grow.

Test Tomorrow Math questions: XXII-VIII= (8pts) Map Questions (8pts) AP Prompt words (on my website) fill in the blank with no word bank. (4pts) 3 Short Answer questions (15pts total) 2 MC questions based off of one document (2pts)

SAQ’s Testing Format: Edsall’s approach 4 SAQ questions on Test Each one has 3 components (even if not obvious). RULE OF 3!!!!! Each Question will test a different skill AND a different time period. Edsall’s approach You will practice so many of them it will become natural to you.

Requirements Must be specific (think it might be on reading guide/vocab list) Must be explained to answer the question. Must be short (it is not a thesis). Must answer the question AP Time period, content, context

Hints You will only have one sheet of paper for three parts. Indent Don’t write too much. Think of it as throwing a punch. Must be specific AND plausible. Ie MLK helping with slave revolts in the early 1800’s is NOT plausible. Do Not Double Dip!!!!! Show off what you know.

Let’s practice on easy ones Explain one specific similarity between August and July. Explain one other specific similarity between August and July. Explain one specific difference between August and July.

Another easy one… Select one of the following ages and argue why it best represents a turning point in your life. 10 B)12 C)13 Explain one specific piece of evidence which illustrates your choice. Make an argument why one of the other options is not as persuasive as the one you chose.

Try to write 1/3rd of a prompt Use Out of the Flames as a content basis. Create 1/3 of a SAQ Prompt. Share with your neighbor. (“Gimmie 2”) Compare your prompt with theirs. Share with “Gimmie 4”

Procedures “Gimmie 2” “Gimmie 4” “Test Formation” “Flip for it” “STANDARDS!”
