Paragraph One - Introduction Begin with an Interest Catcher. List the topic of your essay (CLEAR TOPIC) Ex: ‘The use of cell phones behind the wheel is dangerous.’ List three (3) main points of body paragraphs. THESIS STATEMENT That build on each other for good transitions Example: Cell phone use behind the wheel of a car may result n the driver receiving a ticket (1-mild), having a wreck (2-less mild), or even causing severe injury or death to another person (3-danger).
Paragraph Two - Main Point One Use a transition to begin the paragraph Main point one should be stated in the first sentence (TOPIC) Add three to four supporting details for main point one Vary sentence structure

Paragraph Five Begin paragraph five with a summary transition Restate ALL three main points of your essay Relate your topic to today (current events, news, personal experience, movies, commercials, etc) Finish with an interesting challenge. Ex: ‘Now that you know the truth, will you text and drive?’
