Differentiated Instruction Students will work in various groupings based on individual needs throughout the unit. Reading levels will be assigned based on instructional reading levels using appropriate materials to access knowledge.

National Board Propositions: This unit contains relevant content to first graders that will be taught in a purposeful sequence. We will build our classroom community by exploring the ideals this country was founded upon and relate those to our personal experiences. Assessments will guide the unit to make this a meaningful and purposeful learning experience.
