Chapter 1 Minitab Recipe Card Data entry and summation

Data entry and summation Enter the first value of Example 1.16, 3.49 in row 1 of column 1 (C1) of the worksheet in the lower half of the screen then press Enter.

Enter the next value, 3.69 in row 2 of C1, press Enter, and repeat until all the values (3.49, 3.69. 1.89, 1.79 and 1.59) are stored in rows 1 to 5 of C1.

Click on Calc (Calculations) in the menu across the top of the screen. Click on Column Statistics in the Calc pull-down menu.

In the Command Window select Sum, click the box beside Input variable, type C1 in the box and click OK.

A message telling you that the sum of C1 is 12 A message telling you that the sum of C1 is 12.45 appears in the Session window in the upper half of the screen.
