DID YOU KNOW WORKING IN A HOT ENVIRONMENT INCREASES THE RISK OF HEAT-RELATED ILLNESS. When a person works in a hot environment, the body must reduce excess heat. If the body cannot dispose of excess heat, it will store it, causing core body temperature to rise. Excessive exposure to heat can cause a range of heat-related illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and may even lead to fatality.
