For the first scene I picked Don’t Fear. I think that this song goes well with this scene because some of the characters seem to be controlled by fear.

ACT III, Sc. i - THE FIGHT SCENE

Act III Sc. I - THE FIGHT SCENE Capulet

Act III, Sc. i - THE FIGHT SCENE Mercutio!!! You consort with that villain Romeo!!!! Consort? Does that make me a minstrel? WAIT!!! WHAT ARE YOU CALLING ME?!?!

Act III, Sc. i - THE FIGHT SCENE Well, what he doesn’t know won’t hurt him…yet…. Good Tybalt, chill out, we’re cool man, you’re a good dude! WHAT?!?! HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME!!!!

Act III, Sc. i - THE FIGHT SCENE

Act III, Sc. ii TYBALT!!! TYBALT!!! TYBALT!!!...O Romeo, you fiendish knave, impish scallion!!! How could you??? And yet, I aid and abet the marriage of my dearest surrogate babe to you!!! I must tell my young Juliet this!!! Oh please, can’t day just turn to night now for my love? Oh Romeo, please safely and timely make your way here!!! The Nurse has procured a rope for your climb to my chamber! MEANWHILE

Act III, Sc. ii Wait, WHAT?!?! Is Romeo dead or something? Did he kill himself? Wait, Tybalt? What of Tybalt? Is he dead too?!?!?! What in the world is going on, Nurse?!?! O Romeo, Romeo! Alack the day! Dead! Tybalt! O Tybalt! Dead! O no, alack, alack the day!

Act III, Sc. ii Romeo killed your cousin Tybalt and he is banished because of it! O shame to Romeo for such a dastardly deed! Oh heaven and earth!!! Tybalt slain by my husband Romeo of which we’ve only been married three hours! O my love, it pains me to know I’ll never see thee again!!!

Act III, Sc. ii Good lord, she’s not playing with a full deck! Whoa there, sister. I’ll find Romeo. He’s with Friar Lawrence. HOW DARE YOU TALK OF MY HUSBAND THAT WAY!!!! My hot-headed coz would’ve killed him so he had it coming to him anyway! Wait, you’re okay with Romeo killing your own blood-related cousin!?!? Absolutely!!! But oh how Romeo’s banishment torments me! I’d rather die!

Good lord, he’s not playing with a full deck! Act III, Sc. iii Just got word the prince has banished you from Verona. Therefore, go to Mantua, I’ll send you your servant with the news of what’s happening here. Then maybe we can bring you back. BANISHED?!?! That’s endless suffering in a walking death!!! Where’s my dagger? I’ll just end it right now!!! That’ll be easier!!!! AAAAAHHHH!!! Good lord, he’s not playing with a full deck!

Act III, Sc. iii THIS IS IT!!! THUS I TAKE MY LIFE!!!! WILL YOU CALM DOWN?!?! Be a man!!! Juliet’s alive, you saved yourself by killing Tybalt, and you’re only banished!!! Look at the positives!!! Go see Juliet tonight under the cover of dark and leave before the crack of dawn for Mantua!!!! THIS IS IT!!! THUS I TAKE MY LIFE!!!! Good lord, he’s REALLY not playing with a full deck!

Act III, Sc. iv Young Juliet weeps terribly for Tybalt but I know what will maker her happy: marriage to you! How about Thursday? Wednesday is too soon, we’ll still be mourning over Tybalt. I LIKE THE IDEA!!! Let us do so and increase both our wealth and social status!

Act III, Sc. v Did you tell Juliet of her impending marriage to Paris? Yes…. …and?... …she wants nothing to do with him.

Act III, Sc. v WHAT?!?! HOW DARE YOU DISHONOR ME!!!! GO HANG YOURSELF FOR ALL I CARE!!! YOU WERE MY ONLY DAUGHTER!!! ONLY ONE TOO MANY APPARENTLY!!! I DISOWN YOU!!! GET OUT!!!! DON’T EVER THINK ABOUT COMING BACK!!! OH NO!!! Nurse, you have ALWAYS been there for me in times of need. Oh, what good advice do you have?

W-W-What did you just say? Act III, Sc. v Well, this is the deal: Romeo’s banished, never to return. Marry Paris. He’s got looks, wealth, power. Romeo, in truth, is a loser. W-W-What did you just say? Yeah, I was just going along with you because I saw how happy you were which is all I wanted for you. Selling out isn’t a bad thing, at least you’ll live comfortably. ….you can’t be serious. Oh, indeed I am.

Act III, Sc. v You two-faced sellout!!! How dare you! This is the ultimate BETRAYAL!!!

Act III, Sc. v The only person on this earth I could possibly trust now is good Friar Laurence. I will get his advice and if it’s not good, I will simply end it all!!! I simply cannot believe it—my own best friend and nanny since I was a babe betrays me!!! Never will I trust her again!!!
