Organisms And organism is a living thing. Plants and animals are organisms. All organisms have cell.

Plants Cells Cells are the building blocks of life. Plant cell have nucleus, chloroplast, cell membrane, cell wall and cytoplasm.

Parts of a Plant There are three parts of a plant. They are root, stem and leaves.

The Needs of Plants For a plant to survive it needs sunlight, water, minerals, and air

Roots The roots help keep the plant in the ground. The roots take in water and minerals. The part of a plant that grows underground.

Stem The stem is attached to the roots. It also carries food from the leaves. The stem takes water and minerals from the roots.

Leaves The leaves take in the sunlight to get energy. The leaves uses gas from the air called carbon dioxide and let out oxygen. It is also the man food making place.

Life Cycle of a Plant The life cycle is the stages of a plants life. First it is a seed. Than it is a sprout. Next the plant is a vine. And then it is a young pumpkin . Finally it is a pumpkin.

Conifers Conifers are non flowering. First ripe seeds come from a large cone germinate in the soil. Then a new pine tree grows.Next it makes two kinds of cones. After that pollen from the small cone falls on the larger cone. Finally this larger cone grows with seeds inside.Ripe seeds fall to the ground.

Flowering Plants Flowering plants grow flowers. It has a male part and a female part. The female parts make eggs that become seeds. The male parts make pollen.
