MONITORING AND EVALUATION Barangay literacy worker program

WHY IS MONITORING AND EVALUATION IMPORTANT? Keeping accurate and detailed records of your work is essential Completing M&E and reporting helps you measure whether you are having an impact on the literacy rates in your barangay It enables you to communicate clearly your progress and your challenges to other stakeholders It also ensures accountability for everybody

M&E Responsibilities OF A BLW As a BLW, there are a number of documents that are important that you maintain with diligence: Work Journal Literacy Mapping Form (and PIS) Learner Attendance and Enrollment Go through each form not yet seen

WHAT DOCUMENTS AM I REQUIRED TO SUBMIT? Monthly accomplishment report to the DALSC/MT This report includes the number of learning sessions conducted, learner attendance records, and ALS training activities and participation in community activities, or Barangay Council Sessions Daily time records (DTR) are to be attached to the monthly accomplishment report Go through each form not yet seen

MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF BLWs According to the Memorandum of Agreement between the BLW and Barangay Council, the BLW will be monitored by the: The Barangay Council The DALSC/MT The Barangay council, including the barangay captain and the committee on education will undertake planning, programming and evaluation of BLWs throughout the year The BLW will also be visited by the DALSC or MT for monitoring and support purposes
