Turn on the Promethean Board Power Up! Turn on the laptop Turn on the Promethean Board

Assuming the Activinspire software is loaded on your computer…… Double click on the Activinspire logo on your desktop.

Activeinspire is activated Activinspire is loading, (the picture on the laptop is the same). Activinspire is loaded and ready to be used.

Check the calibration of the Activpen before using the ActivBoard. With both the ActivBoard and the computer on, hold the tip of the pen lightly on the ActivBoard, without pushing in the Activnib. The cursor should line up with the tip of the Activpen….if not, follow directions on the next slide to calibrate it.

Calibration of the ActivBoard Pen Hold Activpen close to the indicator light. After a moment, you should hear a beep and the board will turn white and display the following message. “Click once anywhere on the board to start the activation process.” A series of 5 small crosses will appear one at a time in a clockwise order around the edges of the ActivBoard. As each one appears, tap the nib of the Activpen in the center of the cross each time. After you have clicked the 5th cross, the calibration process will be complete and you can go back to the Activinspire pane ready to work.

Click Hardware and enter the code found on the back of the Promethean ActivBoard (they are case sensitive)…..(Serial # C1107130221) AND ( Product Code ABV387PRO) and click……..Validate

This is your validation page. Cursor down and look on the left side.

This is your Activinspire serial number for a Professional Edition of the Activinspire software for your use. You can also download the software for home use. Copy this serial number for future use.

After clicking windows version under the serial number from the last page, this is your prepare to download and save file…..

Assuming the Activinspire software is loaded on your computer…… Double click on the Activinspire logo on your desktop. Check and /or Calibrate the Activpen and the ActivBoard as shown in a previous slide….. At this point all of the potential of the board should be available to you!
