Mrs. Helgeson will be subbing May 10th – Thank you Thursday – Thank you parents for helping this month!  Science – Describe weather conditions (wind, temperature, cloud coverage, precipitation). -What is a hypothesis? - How can we help to take care of our world? Religion – We spent time Tuesday outside enjoying the gorgeous weather and Praying in Color. We used this time to look for signs of Spring and pray for the people in our lives. Math – Objects have measurable attributes (height, length, width, weight). How can we measure and compare those attributes? Reading Letter – Uu Sight words – was, said, what Other topics – order of events - What is an opinion? - Fiction vs. nonfiction Adding details to our writing Using basic technology skills (we have been working on a new typing games to practice where letters are on a keyboard) Beginning and ending sounds in words Ub word family (cub, sub, tub, rub) At-Home Practice Sight word recognition! Students should be able to easily name all sight words at this point in the school year. Look for an up to date list on our web page. Length vs. height of an object. How can we compare two objects accurately? Reading independently. Many students are struggling when asked to try to sound out words and read without help.
