Adjective Agreement

Singular- 1 person When talking about adjectives, you need to ask WHO am I describing in the sentence. When describing one person, you only have to worry about if the person (or subject) is feminine or masculine. Señora Beltz es _________________ (serio, seria, serios, serias). Josué es _________________ (honesto, honesta, honestos, honestas). Juana es _________________ (sarcástico, sarcástica, sarcásticos, sarcásticas). Oprah es _________________ (generoso, generosa, generosos, generosas). Mateo es _________________ (complicado, complicada, complicados, complicadas). La muchacha es _________________ (atlético, atlética, atléticos, atléticas)

Plural-MORE than 1 Watch the first part of the sentence. You are looking for trigger words like Los, Las, son, y yo. Those words let you know that the subject is plural. We are talking about more than one person. If so, then your adjective has to agree. Los padres son _________________ (estricto, estricta, estrictos, estrictas). Ellos son _________________ (inteligente, inteligentes). Juan y yo somos _________________ (activo, activa, activos, activas). Las chicas son muy _________________ (moderno, moderna, modernos, modernas). Los profesores son _________________ (interesante, interesantes). Mateo y Josué son _________________ (artístico, artística, artísticos, artísticas).
