Do Now: Levels of Education *Answer in complete sentences. What college do you plan on going to? Why that particular college? What’s the difference between in-state tuition and out-of-state tuition rates? What classes do you need to take to get into the college of your choice? TEACHER ONLY: “Wide Open Spaces” –Dixie Chicks

Levels of Education Objective: To help students select high school and post-high school courses that relate to a specific career choice in the students’ interest area.

Commitment to Education: Act 270 If you have not completed Activity 177, you need to do so NOW! Write the indicated career that you decided on in Activity 177 in the blank line at the top. How much education and/or training will you need to complete before you can get an entry-level job in that career field? Write down the education you need on the left in the box and how long it will take for you to obtain it. Add up all the years needed to obtain the education or training you need on the line at the bottom of the page.

Education 10-Year Plan: Activity 271 List the educational requirements you must meet during each year you’re in school to meet your goal. List the classes you need to take and grades you must maintain for each year of school. List the specialized training you need as well.
