Opening sessions Introductions: Pick someone you don’t already know or would like to introduce In pairs, share the following (five minutes): Person’s name Organisation they work for Work on issues relating to durable solutions Back to plenary: Introduce your colleague to the rest of the participants (one minute)

IDMC training workshop on durable solutions for Internally Displaced Persons To promote the achievement of durable solutions for IDPs based on international standards, and to disseminate the IASC framework on durable solutions To equip national and international responders with concepts applicable to their respective contexts as a capacity-building tool

Training objectives By the end of the workshop, we will have: A solid understanding of the durable solutions concepts embodied in the IASC framework An understanding of how to apply the concepts An awareness of housing, land and property (HLP) issues and of Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) concerns as relevant to durable solutions An agreement on how to proceed to develop a strategy for durable solutions
