SAMPLE SENTENCES THE FLOWERS ARE IN BLOOM. GIVE FLUFFY THE MEDICINE EVERY 4 HOURS. WHAT TIME IS IT? SHE MADE THE SHOT AND WON THE TOURNAMENT!

HOW DO I TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN IMPERATIVE AND A DECLARATIVE SENTENCE? THEY BOTH END WITH A PERIOD. SIMPLY ADD THE WORD “YOU” BEFORE THE SENTENCE. IF IT MAKES SENSE, THE SENTENCE IS A COMMAND AND IS CONSIDERED TO BE AN IMPERATIVE SENTENCE. (YOU) GIVE FLUFFY THE MEDICINE EVERY 3 HOURS. A STATED FACT IS DECLARATIVE. THE FLOWERS ARE IN BLOOM.
