Singapore Math Models

Subtraction Model Marsel has 90 baseball cards. He gives 30 cards to his brother. How many baseball cards does he have left? 90 ? 30 90-30=60

Comparison Model There are 300 books and 150 magazines in the library at school. How many more books are there than magazines? 300 150 ? 300-150=150

Items With a Difference Model A shirt costs $25.00. A pair of jeans costs $10.00 more than the shirt. How much are the jeans? Shirt $25.00 Jeans $25.00 $10.00 $25.00+$10.00=$35.00
