IGS Infrastructure Status Nacho Romero IGS Infrastructure Committee Chairman Navigation Support Office, ESA/ESOC IGS GB47 Meeting, SF, CA, USA. 11 Dec 2016

Progress … … in 2016 … Progress Added Asian stations … contacts with Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Working closely with APREF to integrate all Asian station in their regional solution IGS website improvements and station filtering and presentation with CB/NC Dormant/Inactive station issue addressed with NC/CB RINEX 3 transition … 96.7% stations using LongNames (208/215) @ CDDIS Number of stations only using ShortName; 7 gmsd gop6 gop7 m0se roap unb3 wroc NON-IGS station in the /mgex data directory still to be analysed

In-Progress … Rinex 3 Transition On-going issues Created a simple RX3 name tool ‘RX3name’ for IGS users to generate long filenames from Rinex2 names Still evaluating quick RX3 QC tools … for DCs, NC, etc Clock-Rinex inclusion of station long names … SINEX format update for station ‘a9’ longnames … Tropo SINEX adapting to long station names … Working with WG Chairs so they propose/decide/adopt new product format versions that accept station longnames.

Rinex 3 & RTCM WG Report RINEX 3.03: supports all GNSS constellations and observation types. Update 1, will be released within next month (description improvements and typo corrections). New RINEX 3.04 in 2017 to support expected new BeiDou L1 Signal and GPS CNAV Define CNAV message with RTCM-SC104 and RINEX WG RTCM SC-104: Multiple Signal Messages (MSM) 100% interoperable with RINEX 3.X Observation types defined for all GNSS constellations (except IRNSS) BeiDou Navigation message waiting for new ICD from China Navigation Office RTCM State Space Representation (RTCM-SSR) product messages defined for all constellations, but not all approved. RTCM SC104 stuck defining what constitutes sufficient interoperability testing with respect to the phase bias messages (enables Ambiguity Resolution (AR)). RTCM Governing Board has proposed a new Interoperability Working Group to define what is sufficient testing NRCan & CNES collaborating on real-time PPP-AR and AR correction combination interoperability RTCM/IGS Bias Calibration Working Group: NRCan site setup and collecting data from 3 receiver types (2 more shortly) Calibration Report in next RTCM Meeting and IGS Workshop
